.......today was the first day I didn't have a soda (of ANY kind!)

What question do you hate being asked?
"Aren't you hot in that?"
Yes. I wear long sleeves shirts and semi-sweater type tops in Las Vegas when it's 112 degrees outside. Get over it.
I've been so crazy busy that I haven't had time to blog. But, here I am. I know you missed me.

What's your favorite time of day and why?
I don't have a specific time. However, I will say that my favorite time of the day is the time I take off my work clothes and throw on my "loungewear".
I had the pleasure of meeting Doreen Orion at her book-signing of Queen of the Road a few weeks ago, which is a tale of a hilarious cross-country bus adventure over 47 states with 200 shoes, 2 cats, a poodle, and a husband.
Having my fair share of run-ins with egotistical celebrities, I was amazed by how down-to-earth and personable she was. (I spent much of my childhood dreaming of one day moving to Los Angeles and rubbing elbows with the stars. However, after growing up a bit, I realized what Hollywood turns people into, and I cherished my own down-to-earth personality too much to jeapordize that.) She meets everyone she runs into like an old friend, which is a quality I wish I saw more of in women today.
Not only was she doing a book signing, but the very same Elvis that married her to her husband years ago serenaded the mostly female crowd with his crooning voice and rendition of "Viva Las Vegas". He jiggled his hip and curled that lip just as "The King" should. Hunka Hunka Burnin' Love.
Donning a tiara and a fluffy pink boa (because she's Queen of the Road...duh!), she graciously chatted with everyone who had arrived to hear her not only speak about her adventures (and stresses) on the road with her husband, but sign copies of her latest release. After reading some excerpts from this hilarious book, Elvis did a little more hip shaking in that famous white one piece polyester suit and then performed an impromptu renewal of the vows ceremony for a lucky raffle winner. (Just for the record, I highly suggest getting married by Elvis. I never have myself, but promising to "love you tender" and promising to "never send you to heartbreak hotel" sounds totally worth it to me).
Target has selected Queen of the Road as an upcoming Breakout Book in August of 2008, and has been chosen by Elle Magazine Readers’ Prize contender for the July 2008 issue.
To visit her highly impressive website, jam packed with goodies and updates, go here. If you can't make it to any of her signings, go buy her book. I guarantee that you'll see her personality shine through her words, and you'll understand why her tiara and boa are definitely deserved.
If you seek closure from someone else, you'll never get it.
You need to get closure from within yourself.

Scuze me? Facility Charges? Wouldn't that already be in the price of the ticket? What about convenience charges? Convenience for who? The Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas? I sure as hell don't see any convenience for ME here.
I want to see Colbie Caillat in concert. I think she's wonderful. However, when the fees and processing charges (hello, an email sent to me?) total more than a single ticket alone, I don't want to see her THAT bad.
I'll save my money, thank you.
