Franklin

Franklin, my Shetland Sheepdog, came into my life in 2006. My then husband was constantly doing his own thing, so I wanted to get a dog to keep me company. (Sad, I know). I held him in my arms and that was it; I was in love. After my divorce, I changed places of residency a few times, all of which were dog friendly, but I wasn't home enough to give him the attention he needed. So, my mom took him in (along with her five other dogs). I wish with all of my heart that I could have him with me now, but my new roommate just let her ex take their dog, and I don't think she'd be keen on being part-owner of Franklin while I'm gone so much. His health has taken a turn for the worse at my mother's house; she lets him eat ALL of the time (as opposed to twice a day like I used to) and as a result he's gained about 20lbs, and he hasn't gotten his teeth cleaned since I got him. I wish there were a way to have him at my new place, but between both jobs and my personal life, I'm just not around much.  I miss him.
